My name is Seungmoon Choi. I am a professor and head of Computer Science and Engineering at POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) in Republic of Korea.
This website introduces my work, in terms of research and education I have done in my career. I am generally interested in developing easy, effective, and novel methods and technologies for interaction between human users and systems of interest, such as computers, robots, cars, and electronic devices, with a focus on physical interactions. As such, my research and background are cross-disciplinary, spanning haptics, human-computer interaction (HCI), virtual reality (VR), robotics, and perception.
At present, I run a research laboratory, POSTECH Interaction Laboratory (POINT), and lead an IT Research Center, Human Cognition-Intelligence Augmentation Research Center (hCIA).
